Get Rid of Flyaways for Good
Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 4:05PM Nothing makes a cut or style look messier than those pesky little floating strays. At Leonardo's Salon in Rockville Centre, NY, National Cosmetology Association member James Bilello makes sure that his clients walk out the door looking sleek and polished, no matter what the weather. "To get rid of flyaways," James says, "I spray a light working hairspray on my hands until they are wet- remember that hairspray evaporates quickly! Then I lightly touch the stray hairs, smoothing them along the head." But James doesn't stop there. "Next," he says, "I spray my hands again and place my hands at the roots and push from underneath to restore any volume I may have lost. Our clients love it because their hair feels soft and looks polished and full."
